In Summer 2025, I stage managed Matilda Jr. at Area Stage Theatre Conservatory, a production that marked my first experience working on a show performed in the round. Learning to call cues and manage transitions without the fixed focus of a proscenium stage challenged me to think more spatially and heightened my awareness of pacing, sightlines, and audience perspective from all angles.

In addition to my stage management responsibilities, I had the opportunity to co-choreograph the production. This role was both challenging and extremely rewarding, as it allowed me to collaborate creatively with the directing team while maintaining a leadership role in rehearsals. One of the dances I co-choreographed can be viewed here , and the process strengthened my ability to balance artistic contribution with technical precision.

Working with an enthusiastic cast of young performers and a collaborative creative team made this production a valuable learning experience and further expanded my understanding of the relationship between movement, staging, and stage management.
