The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV

In November 2025, I served as Stage Manager for the world-premiere production of The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, produced by Area Stage Company in collaboration with Coheed & Cambria and Sixthman. This project marked my first professional production and the first staging of a brand-new musical, making it a uniquely challenging and rewarding experience.

The production was performed aboard the S.S. Neverender as part of a festival cruise, introducing an unconventional performance environment that required flexibility, problem-solving, and adaptability. In addition to my standard stage management responsibilities—such as rehearsal documentation, cue calling, and communication across departments—I gained hands-on experience with ship-specific logistics, including completing ship manifests and learning how theatrical production integrates with the behind-the-scenes operations of a cruise crew.

Being part of the inaugural staging of this musical was especially meaningful, and witnessing the enthusiastic response from audiences after each performance underscored the impact of our work. This production expanded my understanding of large-scale collaboration, immersive venues, and the demands of professional new-work development, and it remains one of the most formative experiences of my career.
